First impressions are good, setting is fantastic. The atmosphere is fine due to the location more than anything. You can't beat beach front in summer, nice and busy with a steady flow of diners as you would expect on a warm night in St Kilda. However, what was to follow made it a less than average dining experience. No matter what this establishment should not take it's food and service for granted, which is exactly what happened.

Basic menu with limited choices. I ordered a medium porterhouse steak which arrived as a rare scotch fillet. Steak was chewy and tough. I was not even provided with a steak knife. Mash potato washard and needed a knife to cut, stemed vegetables were soggy ... I am still digesting. At $21 I was appalled at what was served up. Steak is not hard to get right and usually a safe option when dining in pubs.

My meal took one hour and 10 minutes to arrive and was incorrect when it finally landed. Complained 3 times to different staff all who seemed relatively disinterested and could not provide me with an answer as to why it was taking so long. Seriously, if you plan to dine in St Kilda, forget this place, there are dozens of better options within walking distance. Will never go back. The attitude was complacent at best.
